What is the current quality of law graduates?

A recent survey by the Institute of Leadership & Management found that over half of graduates expect to be in a management role within 3 years of starting with 13% expecting to have a management position within just one year.  The research also found that 38% of graduates are dissatisfied with career advancement in their current organisation.

What we would like to know is how do you, as legal professionals, view the quality of the latest law graduates?

Are they equipped to take on the work you expect of them in your firm?  Has the quality improved, got worse or stayed roughly the same.  Have you changed your recruitment process?  Do you target specific universities? Vote in our poll and please submit your comments on the subject.
